TJ Toce

Author of How the World Gets High, Street Names Exposed, Molly, Lucy & Mary Jane and Lucy, Charlie & Tina

I am a career retail executive who has always been curious about psychedelics and could not stop pulling the thread. My first book, How the World Gets High, is the result — a global tour of sacred mushrooms, Amazon vines, mad honey, and desert toads, and the science that is finally catching up to nine thousand years of human practice. My second, Street Names Exposed, grew out of the little A-to-Z dictionary I kept while writing the first. I am not a scientist. I am a very persistent seeker.

“I am not a scientist. I am a very persistent seeker.”

I have spent my working life in retail — sourcing, merchandising, getting product from a factory to a floor on a date somebody promised a customer. These days that work is T-Suite Advisors. When I got curious about psychedelics, I did what I have always done: I pulled the thread.
